January 2020
The CVPRC is dedicated to remaining as the Activist and Watch-Dog group in our community. It is our goal to remain as a information and call to action coalition fixture for as long as there is ample support through volunteerism and financial TIPS to continue.
In January 2020 Co-founder Diane-louise: of the Familia Alessi (whom has been domiciled in Christian Valley for 53 years) Diane began construction on this new website for the CVP Community in December 2019.
This website is initially being donated as a platform to the community, by utilizing Diane's domain name: www,HoofPrintedArt.org. (The website had been dormant and is currently solely being paid for by Diane.)
This is an endeavor has a big technology hill to climb, because it is an old dog attempting to learning new trick. But whatever the hurdle, just like the amount of shear determination it took to wage and win the protest, against the proposed water rate increases, this website will also manifest into its ultimate potential.
The CVPRC website will be a portal of information and social networking technologies. CVPRC YouTube Channel, PayPal Pool for TIPPING Donations, DropBox repository for documents and Audio from meetings and Google Calendar to keep people informed of meetings, proposals, road and water related issues and Gmail: cvpresidentscoalition@gmail.com: cvprc_donate@hoofprintedart.org: cvprc_volunteer@hoofprintedart.org cvprc_rep@hoofprintedart.org.
October 2019
The idea of organizing a PROTEST to the CVP,CSD proposed water rate increases was born, and was being organized, after founding coalition member contacted Diane after reading Diane's letter to the Board. The two met for the first time ever, to discuss how we would begin and territories were assigned: meanwhile they began asking around while canvassing to see who else would be willing to help by going out and knocking on 626 Water Payees doors.
October-November 2019
By late October we had five other women willing to help canvass and gather protest votes. The challenges were and still are enormous as being women of advanced ages, we have differing levels of physical hindrances this was a day by day challenge.
Skills
We have a very eclectic combined skill set and work history.
But our strongest skill is our stubborn determination, and our willingness to do the research and attend the Board meetings. Then to put an educated and equitable idea into action. It took a lot of summoning of our will powers to muster the physical fortitude, and to be willing to put our money where our mouths were financially, because we love our community and our older retirees are large number of the people that make Christian Valley Park the kind-hearted community that it is. The CVPRC volunteers that put their actions and ideas into what is right for all our community first, because we talked to you and we heard you.
Listening, having Compassion, and Loving our fellow Neighbors is our Best SKILLS!
